Here it is again, another Grand weekend in which we get to practice for the most part a long weekend because of the Holiday here in the United States. For some it started Friday, but never the less, it is now. In this post I would like to share, the Quiet before the Quiet. Dear friend, there is a stillpoint within every one of us, a place of deep inner spiritual peace. In fact some might even say that this is a place of complete wholeness; nothing can be added to it, nothing can be taken away, and nothing disturbed. It is to this inner awareness that we all can go in prayer and meditation for healing as well as refreshment. This is prized by many serious students of spiritual living. I absolutely believe that there is an essential, identifiable quality to this spiritual arena and it must be the experience of quietude. You see, even if excitement or stimulation arises from the experience, it is still anchored in absolute quiet. Language it seems or sound or noise are qualities of our relative existences. Our primary center, our world of Spirit is centered in this silence. If you take this opportunity to approach this grand silence where the vitality of God/Spirit freely flows without hindrance, you have to enter it on its own terms – effortlessly, willingly and quietly. However if you are hurried, upset or even irritated there may be too much inner noise keeping you from the inner voyage. You cannot hear the ‘still, small voice.’ You cannot sense the vibrant message that the Divine has for you. Therefore your practice, our practice would logically be to still the mind of its chattering and preoccupations and come innocently into the presence of God/Spirit, which lovingly envelops us silently. And so it is my dear friend. Have an absolutely grand and safe weekend and give gratitude to those who served this Memorial Day. Have a good day yourself!
Peace and Abundant Blessings always.
