Prayer Is Never Hard Work

Have you ever been frustrated with prayer? I think all humans have been at some point in time. Do you sometimes think that the answers are not given in time or maybe even at all? I assure you that these are very common thoughts regarding prayer. Yet my dear friend, when you are praying or treating, as metaphysicians like to call it, you might have cause to wonder to whom you really pray. Is it to someone or something that is outside of yourself? Is it even an imaginary figment of your very own imagination at the time? I believe these are some questions that do give us pause for thought. In the Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes has said that prayer is its own answer. This I believe makes perfect sense, when you remember that essential to the metaphysical belief system is the element of the Oneness of all life with the Creative Presence. There really is no other place from which answers can come. They are already inherent in your mind when you are in prayer or treating, and the very act of praying creates access to the desired awareness. I once heard that humans are like cosmic sponges, constantly relaxing the rinds around their porous minds so that the Wisdom, Love, and Guidance that are longed for can flow through them. Therefore, you like this sponge, will catch what you can, and maybe catch some more during the next treatment you engage yourself in. Back to Holmes, he also says that the approach to Spirit is direct… through our own consciousness. Since you are the originator and the receiver of the result of prayer, your part in the process is to maintain a gentle focus. My sweet friend, prayer should never ever be hard work, it is just a watchful awareness and a grateful heart. As said before, it is best to never supplicate, but appreciate. Answers, nuances, and nudges do come regularly, but you must be mindful of their coming and open to it. Obstructions and dry spells belong strictly to you, not to a Divine reluctance, and can mean that you must push less. Just breathe and relax more. You will see and always know that your prayers are always met with an answer. Listen and know, you will be less frustrated. Have a blissful day!
Peace and Abundant Blessings Sweet Soul
