Oh dear friends, I know too well that you can relate to the ideas of getting “older.” Although let me remind you that keeping a youthful viewpoint and to live life with the curiosity, enthusiasm, and passion of others who are indeed younger by age, that age is really only a game of numbers. For myself, I have greatly learned from this. I also know that as we are all called the Children of the most High, we too must strive to always have fun, play and enjoy life in all ways, always. I once heard this quote, “Getting old is mandatory, Growing up is optional.” I myself have always chosen the latter. Which brings me to the fact that I am not so naïve in understanding the intricate dynamics of modern technology that seems to change so swiftly day to day, however I have become extremely worldly and with much gratitude become knowledgeable about the spiritual world in which I live in and how every activity large and small connects me and helps me understand how I relate to it. Because I do. As well as every one of us. Contrary to many popular myths and beliefs in a youth-oriented world, there are numerous benefits to maturity. I have taken former false beliefs and various roadblocks that have held me back at the time on my life’s journey from living life to its fullest; they have been mostly eliminated, squashed and removed. The experiences in which I gained in traveling through the combined rough and bumpy roads of life as well as some smooth ones, catapulted me to a place of deeper wisdom, warmer love, intuitive understanding, and a joy and appreciation for a life that I once long ago never thought possible. I have blessed and embraced each one of them. This has led me to be more attuned and awake to witness the beauty and harmony of this grand world and my powerful, never wavering knowingness to the God/Spirit/Divine connection. My sweetest friend, no matter what your age is, your years have afforded you the opportunity to intimately become your very own best friend. Imagine this, like aged wine; you are more valuable and desired, recognizing that you are never too old to be someone’s anchor. As you are a gift to the world and others always. Sometimes as I know, it may seem we are under estimated and underappreciated. Then we get into the concept of conditions and expectations. For myself, I live life with absolute unconditional love and non-expectations. Therefore the Ego is kept at bay. I also have become more resilient, resourceful and reliable as I am open to each new day added to my life. In conclusion, I have identified with the words of the great comedian, George Burns who so marvelously stated that, “Age is mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” Happy Solar Return to all and to myself this day for I and you are indeed powerful, spiritual beings already.
Peace and Abundant Blessings always.
